Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
