Noah (Nooh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Surely We sent Nuh to his people, saying: Warn your people before there come upon them a painful chastisement. 1 He said: "O my people, I warn you clearly 2 "That you should worship Allah (Alone), be dutiful to Him, and obey me, 3 "He (Allah) will forgive you of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Verily, the term of Allah when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew." 4 He said, “My Lord! I invited my people night and day.” 5 but my calling has only increased them in flight. 6 And whenever I have called them that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are puffed up with pride: 7 Then I called them openly, 8 and spoke to them in public and in private." 9 and I said, "Ask you forgiveness of your Lord; surely He is ever All-forgiving, 10 He will send down upon you the cloud, pouring down abundance of rain: 11 And He will add unto you riches and children and will appoint unto you gardens and will appoint unto you rivers. 12 "'What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah,- 13 And indeed He has created you through various grades: 14 Do you not see how God has created the seven heavens one above another, 15 and made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp, 16 And God caused you to grow out of the earth, 17 and He will later cause you to return to it and will then again bring you out of it. 18 how God has spread the earth out for you 19 That you may follow therein roads of passage.'
