Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
