Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
