Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble, writers 11 who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
