The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sun and its noon-time brightness, 1 and by the moon as it follows it; 2 By the day when it glorifieth it. 3 and by the night when it enshrouds him! 4 And the heaven and Him Who built it, 5 And by the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 prosperous is he who purified it, 9 And he who confines it will surely come to grief. 10 In their presumptuous insolence the Thamud called the Truth a lie 11 When the most wicked among them stood up in defiance. 12 Then the apostle of Allah said unto them: beware of the she-camel of Allah and her drink. 13 In response they belied him, and hamstrung the she camel – so Allah put ruin over them because of their sins and flattened their dwellings. 14 He did not fear the consequences. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
