The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
