Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
