Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
