The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
