۞ O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 15 If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation. 16 And that is not hard for Allah. 17 No one who carries a burden bears another's load; and even if the burdened soul cry out for help none will carry the least of its burden, however close a relative it may be. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and fulfil their devotional obligations. Whoever grows in goodness does so for himself. To God is the journeying back. 18 Not alike are the blind and the seeing. 19 Nor darkness and light, 20 the shade and the torrid heat; 21 and neither are equal the living and the dead [of heart]. Behold, [O Muhammad,] God can make hear whomever He wills, whereas thou canst not make hear such as are [dead of heart like the dead] in their graves: 22 Thou art but a warner. 23 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), We have indeed sent you with the Truth, giving glad tidings and heralding warnings; and there was a Herald of Warning in every group. 24 If they reject you, (know that) others who lived before them had also rejected their Messengers, Messengers who had brought them miracles, scriptures, and the enlightening Book 25 Then seized I those who disbelieved, and how intense was My abhorrence! 26
