Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
