Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
