The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
