Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
