O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 And fear the Fire prepared for the unbelievers, 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to a forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as heaven and earth, prepared for the cautious 133 for those who spend, both in prosperity and adversity, who restrain their anger and are forgiving towards their fellow men -- God loves those who do good works. 134 and who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but God could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens beneath which rivers flow – abiding in it forever; what an excellent reward for the performers (of good deeds)! 136 Divers institutions have passed away before you; journey in the land, and behold how was the end of those that cried lies. 137 This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil) 138 Faint not nor grieve, for ye will overcome them if ye are (indeed) believers. 139 If a wound touches you, a similar wound already has touched the nation. Such days We alternate between the people so that Allah knows those who believe, and that He will take witnesses from among you, for Allah does not love the harmdoers, 140 and so that Allah will examine those who believe and efface the unbelievers. 141 Did you think that you could go to Paradise before God knew which of you fought for His cause and which of you bore patience? 142 You did indeed wish for death (Ash-Shahadah - martyrdom) before you met it. Now you have seen it openly with your own eyes. 143
