Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say: “He has fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you; perhaps they will be guided to the Right Way. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He governs from the heaven to the earth and then the record (of this governance) goes up to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years in your reckoning. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid; 8 then He gave it proper shape and blew His spirit in it. He made ears, eyes and hearts for you, but you give Him very little thanks. 9 And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death appointed over you will take away your soul, then you will be sent back to your Lord." 11
