Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
