NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
