Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
