The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
