(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Harun, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 We had already shown you favor 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
