The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
