The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to the diminishers, 1 Those who when they take the measure from others, take it in full! 2 but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due. 3 Do they not think they will be raised (to life) again 4 On a mighty Day. 5 The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. 6 Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. 7 And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is? 8 It is a (repository of) distinctly written record. 9 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 10 those who give the lie to the [coming of] Judgment Day: 11 No one denies it except for the evil aggressor. 12 And when Our revelations are rehearsed unto him, he saith: fables of the ancients! 13 No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. 14 Indeed! On that Day a barrier will be set between them and their Lord, 15 and then, behold, they shall enter the blazing fire 16 Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false! 17 Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin - 18 But how will you comprehend what 'Illiyun is? 19 It is a written book, 20 The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. 21 Verily the virtuous shall be in Delight, 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight. 24 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, 25 The seal thereof will be of musk. And to this end let the aspirers aspire 26 And mixed with water of Tasnim, 27 A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink. 28 Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe. 29 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery); 30 and when they went back to their families, they went back jesting, 31 and when they saw them said: 'These are they who are astray' 32 But they had not been sent as guardians over them. 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 On high couches, gazing. 35 Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? 36
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
