The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We will now call the guards! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
