Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
