Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ya Seen. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 On a straight path. 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 The Word has been realised against most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
