And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
