The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Then where are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
