The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The piercing star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
