۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! 22 And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. 23 The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. 24 On that Day, a cloud will appear rending the sky and the angels will be senthi down rank after rank. 25 on that Day [it will become obvious to all that] true sovereignty belongs to the Most Gracious [alone]: hence, a Day of distress will it be for all who deny the truth, 26 The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, "Oh! would that I had taken a (straight) path with the Messenger! 27 Alas for me! Ah, would that I had never taken such an one for friend! 28 “He indeed led me astray from the advice that had come to me”; and Satan deserts man, leaving him unaided. 29 And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. 30 Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet SAW in 23 years.). 32 Every time they raise an objection, We will bring you the truth and the best of explanations. 33 Those who will be driven headlong into hell will have a terrible dwelling; they have certainly gone astray. 34
