3/4 Hizb 45

And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
