The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
