Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
