He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 you attended to him, 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 And fruits and herbage 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
