Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 that hide, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
