Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
