The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
