No, by the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 "Till death overcame us." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
