In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
