Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
