Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
