Thamud denied the messengers 141 when their brother Salih said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 142 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you 143 So fear Allah and obey me. 144 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 145 Do you believe that you will be left here to live securely in the present state 146 "In gardens and springs. 147 farms, and palm-trees in thick groves, 148 Will you still hew your dwellings in the mountains? 149 So fear you God, and obey you me; 150 And obey not the command of the prodigal, 151 Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend." 152 They said, "You are only bewitched and insane. 153 You are naught but a mortal like ourselves; so bring a sign if you are one of the truthful. 154 He said, "Here is a she-camel. She shall have her turn of drinking, as you have yours, each on an appointed day, 155 Do not cause her to suffer lest you become subject to the torment of the great day (of Judgment)." 156 Then they hamstrung her; and then they became regretful. 157 and the chastisement seized them. Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 158 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
