The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
