Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
