Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
