AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away. 61 Moses asked his young companion when they crossed this point, "Bring us our food; the journey has made us tired." 62 He said: Did you see when we took refuge on the rock then I forgot the fish, and nothing made me forget to speak of it but the Shaitan, and it took its way into the river; what a wonder! 63 'This is what we have been seeking' said he, and they retraced their footsteps 64 and found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed grace from Ourselves and unto whom We had imparted knowledge [issuing] from Ourselves. 65 Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? 66 He said: verily thou wilt not be able to have with me patience; 67 "And how can you have patience about a thing which you know not?" 68 He said, 'Yet thou shalt find me, if God will, patient; and I shall not rebel against thee in anything.' 69 He said: "Well, if you follow me, do not ask me concerning anything until I myself mention it to you." 70
