3/4 Hizb 45

And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
