Al-Najm 3 of 3
(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
