The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
